Quiet in our part of the Gulf

Sunday 8 Feb
Without trying to tempt fate, as there's still Sunday night to go....we've had a fairly quiet weekend on the water in our part of the Gulf.
Crew 3 made the most of the extra day off work by getting stuck into some night training on Saturday night, swotting up on Radar work, local navigation lights and helming in the dark without the pressure of a callout. (also the intention of having a sleep in on Sunday, for some, after 7 hrs on the water!)
This morning we had a task to retrieve a 6m runabout from Kawau Island that had its steering damaged, so the tow was relatively slow, as the owner couldn't control its direction. With the motor flopped to one side, extra care was required and the rest of the family rode along in KR.
Thanks to Glenn, Sean & Craig for this morning's work, with Airberth Al dropping us into the water.
