Our current rescue vessel will soon have reached the end of its operational life and we are specifically fundraising to purchase a replacement boat, for delivery in mid to late 2026.

The new boat is estimated to cost in excess of $1.3 million and our target is to contribute $500,000 towards this cost. The balance will be paid by Coastguard Tautiaki Moana.

We currently have $400,000 saved in our Replacement Vessel Fund and we are working to raise the balance of $100,000.

The generous donations from our local supporters, together with our ongoing community fundraising events, such as our successful Harbourmaster’s Golf Tournament and the Coffee & Cars events, are simply not enough to fund a capital project of this size and to cover operational costs.

Public, private and corporate donations are critical to ensure we can continue to provide this valuable service to our local community.
